What We Do
Providing Love and Comfort
Ronald McDonald House of Danville, Inc. believes support for families with ill children is critical for the improved health of the child and the well-being of the family. Partnering with our community, we are able to offer programs that help reduce stress and financial burdens and help strengthen coping abilities.
Our cornerstone program, the Ronald McDonald House, helps families stay together and close to their ill children, increasing the caregivers’ ability to spend more time with their child, to interact with their clinical care team and participate in critical medical care decisions.
We extended our caring arms beyond our doorstep to support cancer children by providing a fun and safe camping experience at Camp Dost. For one week, our precious campers are away from a clinic setting and are able to experience nature and bond with other campers.
Building upon extending our services into the community, we will be opening a Ronald McDonald Family Room at the Janet Weis children’s hospital. The Family Room will offer parents of critically ill children a place to rest and regroup within the hospital while being just steps away from their child’s bedside.
For 36 years, the Ronald McDonald House of Danville, Inc. has met the needs of families in medical crisis with help from dedicated volunteers, our partnerships with the medical community, relationships with respected companies and a community of generous donors. We couldn’t do it without you.
